The formed patches are usually ½ to ¼ inches in diameter across and reddish in appearance. It is also manifested by severe itchiness, runny nose, eye irritation, dyspnea in severe forms and sneezing.
Allergies are somewhat related to hives because of the pruritus or severe itchiness of the skin. The differences are there are no signs of runny nose, eye irritations, difficulty in breathing and more. The only thing that relates regular allergies to hives is the itchiness of the skin.
