Yes, hives are hereditary. It is possible for you to develop hives if some of your family members have the illness too. Usually, if both parents have history of hives it is possible that their kids can develop hives as well. Nevertheless, it does not necessarily mean that the kids are sure to develop it; there are instances that the kids do not develop this illness, even if one among the possibility of acquiring is the presence of the illness to both parents.
